An advertisement against a lawyer running for Governor in South Carolina has drawn the ire of the ABA, which sent a letter to Chris Christie (as chair of the Republican Governors Association) outlining the rule of law and the role of Defense Attorneys in protecting and preserving our rights and democratic society. I believe the ABA is right. Criminal Defense Attorneys are your protection from Government overreach and tyranny. They are an essential part of maintaining our Liberty. They should never be faulted for doing their job, no matter who they represent. This legal right must not be assaulted.
